Hello

My name is Floor Verhoogt. As a sports and performance psychologist, I am committed to helping athletes and other performers (read: anyone who has to perform under pressure) achieve their highest level of performance. Among other things, I provide presentations, (customizable) workshops, personal coaching, and stress management programs in which I implement innovative Virtual-Reality technology.

More about me

Hailing from a sports-oriented family, I have always been deeply fascinated by the world of competitive athletic performance. What makes a good athlete? What does it take to output peak performance? And what skills do athletes require to be able to consistently perform at their best?

 

Alongside my own athletic pursuits, I cultivated a passion for the performing arts. I started singing at a young age, amassing stage experience over the years. As a result, presenting or delivering speeches in front of an audience never seems to fase me. The increase in heart rate, the butterflies in your stomach, and the feeling that you have to go to the bathroom one more time - even though you've just been - are things I can even enjoy at times.

 

But not everyone feels the same way. Why is that?

Combining my background in both sports and performance with my interest in psychology, I naturally found my calling in the field of Sport and Performance Psychology. With FLOW Performance Psychology, I aim to merge my expertise and passion to better understand and enhance peak performance through psychological principles.
